Cody and Amanda met the modern way: by swiping right on Bumble on September 14th, 2020. During a time of uncertainty in the world, they connected and never looked back. After texting and sending Snap Chats to each other everyday, they decided that it was time to meet in person on October 7th. They had lunch at Houlihans followed by a long walk around Rutgers Gardens in New Brunswick. The day was filled with never ending conversation, as if they had known each other forever. A few more dates followed, such as visits to wineries, restaurants (no surprise there if you know the couple!), and Peddlers Village (somewhere that is very special to the Bride, and now for the Groom - but we'll get to that in a minute.) On December 20th, 2020 the couple decided to make things Facebook official, in other words they became boyfriend and girlfriend and have been inseparable ever since.

A few of Cody and Amanda's favorite memories from their time together include: Attending Dave Matthews Band concerts, vacations to Florida, Tennessee, & Rhode Island, trying out new restaurants, and attending New York Comic Con every year, in full cosplay of course.

On their third anniversary, December 20th, 2023, Cody and Amanda visited Peddlers Village as they do every anniversary. They stopped by their favorite lit up tree to take their annual selfie picture, but this time was different. As Amanda smiled at the camera and began to take the picture she noticed Cody start to shift his body and he kneeled on the ground. To say that she was surprised would be an understatement, but in the best way possible of course. To make the moment even better, Amanda turned to see her sister Victoria hiding amongst the crowd, filming and taking photos of everything. It was the easiest and quickest yes and the most perfect memory to add of one of their favorite places.

On September 20th (noticing a trend with the day ‘20’ yet?) 2025, the two will tie the knot in front of their most treasured family and friends at Rock Island Lake Club in Sparta, NJ.
